This Easter broke all records of travellers at Malaga airport, with a similar activity to full summer season. There were flights practically every 5 minutes and the airport worked with both runways. In fact such was the activity that a security guard was joking “we are evacuating Malaga”.
Now everything has returned a little more to normal, at least during May and June, when are gradually increasing travellers heading towards the Costa del Sol for a well-deserved summer vacation.
Regarding flight news, there are already almost all new routes under way since the start of the high season. A new flight that will be launched from May 28 to October 26 will connect the cities of Malaga and Tel Aviv with two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays.
There are also more news for next year to take note. Ryanair will schedule for the next winter fifty routes from Malaga, being the first time that the company is reaching this volume of connections during the low season, with flights to Prague and six new winter services to Amsterdam, Bremen, Dortmund, Frankfurt Main, Santander and the Polish city of Wroclaw.
Another route that will arouse much interest in the Middle East is the one offered by Qatar Airways that will connect Malaga and Doha next year. It is not yet known the start date of these flights, nor the frequency.
