In a few weeks is Christmas, the time of year when more trips are made. Many people pack their bags on these dates to spend a few days with the family, along with others who travel for pleasure to know the Christmas customs of other more Nordic countries or to escape from the frozen temperatures to a warmer destination.
If you are one of these people who have plans to fly on these dates, we are confident that you have been sufficiently foresighted and have already purchased your flight ticket. As a reminder, the start of the winter season at Malaga airport has begun with the opening of nine new international routes.
Ryanair has expanded for the first time six routes of the summer season to winter, which are flights to Belfast, Krakow, Marseille, Venice and Shannon. New is also the connection to Glasgow four days a week. Last week the low cost company announced a new connection between Malaga and Frankfurt for the next summer season that will begin late March, with a daily flight. The airline Monarch in turn currently has 49 direct flights per week to the Costa del Sol from Manchester, Birmingham, Gatwick, Luton and Leeds.
Currently there are a total of 101 destinations available at the airport, a dozen more than in the previous winter season. On 16 November, the 15 millionth passenger arrived at Málaga airport, a historic figure that is likely to exceed 16 million by the end of the year. Let´s fly!
